Summer Skin

As temperatures rise and days get longer, many of the most common skin conditions will worsen. Whether suffering from acne, rosacea, or hyperpigmentation, summer is the season for problem skin. Prolonged exposure to sun, heat and humidity not only causes a dehydrated surface area, trapping oil and bacteria, but also causes an increase of salt-containing perspiration which acts as an irritant, exacerbating breakouts. With UV exposure being a major cause of inflammations, all pigmentary conditions may worsen int the summer months, ofter reversing what you've accomplished throughout the year. Rosacea flareups are sure to increase as well, with heat and sun being the main culprits in this inflammatory condition. This is no time to give up your professional and home care routine.
