Food is Key to Wellness

A key determinant of wellness is what we eat.

The foods we eat supply us with energy in the form of calories derived from either one or a combination of four classes of nutrients:
  • carbohydrates,
  • proteins,
  • fats
  • alcohol
Any intake that exceeds the body's needs is converted into body fat for storage. So really, no one category is more "fattening" than another. Simply, excess calories become extra pounds.

Our bodies demand an internal and external approach to wellness. Wellness is a form of beauty that reflects proper care, taken both internally and externally.
